Video Demo: Creating Test Automation Scripts in Visual Studio
Happy Monday! On Wednesday of this week we’ll be at Microsoft’s Build Developer Conference in San Francisco. Perfecto’s Extensions for Visual Studio and Visual Studio Team Services will be on display, both in our booth, and during two different sessions. If you’re attending the conference, stop by and see us at booth 419.
We’ll also be making an announcement during the conference about how Perfecto is making it easier for developers and testers to do test automation on real devices. We’ll post more details about the announcement here on Wednesday.
For those of you not attending the conference, we thought we’d give you a preview before the show starts with a video demo that adds in Wind Tunnel reporting to Perfecto’s Extension for Visual Studio.
This video shows how the extension is used to develop test automation scripts interactively, on a real devices, and then run in parallel on two different devices. It concludes with a Wind Tunnel report that allows you to dive into points of interest and device vitals as a result of testing for one of our personas, named Georgia.
What the video shows:
- Downloading and installing the Perfecto Lab Visual Studio Experience
- Creating a project from the Perfecto Lab Selenium Template
- Building a test in VS, including the recorder
- Running a test locally and viewing it in the VS Perfecto Lab tab
- Viewing a download report from the local execution
- Wind Tunnel Report
