Data shows mobile app development testing is shifting earlier in the development cycle; Perfecto Mobile addresses market need with new extended Selenium WebDriver Capabilities
BOSTON, MA – Perfecto Mobile, the world’s leader in mobile app quality, today announced results from their recent survey of 400 mobile application quality professionals which revealed that enterprises’ adoption of Selenium WebDriver is growing. In fact, 73 percent of organizations are currently using or evaluating Selenium WebDriver inside their organization and 57 percent of respondents said their organization is more interested in the tool than they were last year.
As part of its new capabilities, Perfecto Mobile will now offer network virtualization within functional and performance testing to users who are extending Selenium WebDriver to mobile, arming developers with real-time insights and feedback from users sooner and throughout the testing process.
“Enterprises are looking to accelerate velocity but are unwilling to compromise the quality of their applications in an effort to deliver exceptional user engagement. As a result, we are seeing more and more customers adopt an agile methodology in order to integrate testing earlier and throughout the development lifecycle. ‘Continuous quality’ must be baked into every phase of the lifecycle,” said Roi Carmel, Senior Vice President of Products and Corporate Strategy, Perfecto Mobile. “This shift to agile has quickly moved from hype to reality and, as a result, it is critically important to bring mobile app functional and performance testing into Selenium WebDriver at an earlier stage in order to make the solution stronger, better integrated into the development phase and ready for business.”
Perfecto Mobile’s MobileCloud Selenium WebDriver is the first mobile-ready and enterprise-grade Selenium-based testing solution that enables Dev/Test teams to test web, native and hybrid mobile applications on real cloud-based devices.
